Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data The Internet Void (“the Service”, “we”) collects when you use internet-void.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.
1. What we collect
- Technical identifiers. A random session identifier is stored in a cookie (
void_sid) and a random client identifier is kept in your browser’s local storage. These are pseudonymous and are used to keep the game state, rate-limit abuse, and link sacrifices to the browser that made them. - Account data (optional). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. If you sign in with an Ethereum wallet, we receive your public wallet address. Sign-in is optional — the Service works in guest mode.
- Virtual balance. Your Balance, transaction history, and submitted content are stored server-side and tied to your account or browser identifier.
- Server logs. Like most web servers we log IP addresses, user agents, and request times for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.
- Payment data. Top-ups are handled by third-party cryptocurrency processors (e.g. Cryptomus, NOWPayments). We receive only the order identifier, payment status, and the amount to credit. We never see or store card numbers or wallet private keys.
- Music metadata. The built-in radio player fetches track lists from Jamendo through our server; the Jamendo client identifier stays on the server.
2. Why we process it
- To operate the Service (game state, leaderboards, shared clips).
- To authenticate you when you choose to sign in, and to merge guest history on request.
- To credit Balance top-ups and prevent fraud, double-crediting, and abuse.
- To keep the Service secure (rate limiting, logs) and comply with legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering duties that apply to our payment processors.
3. Cookies
We use one functional session cookie (void_sid) required for the Service to work, and local storage for the client identifier and preferences (language, sound). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Sharing
- Payment processors receive the data required to process a top-up you initiate.
- Google handles sign-in according to its own privacy policy.
- Jamendo supplies the music catalogue.
- We do not sell personal data. We disclose data only where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the Service and its users.
5. Retention
- Session cookie: 2 hours; client identifier: kept in your browser until you clear it.
- Guest sacrifice history: up to 12 months; account history: kept while the account exists.
- Server logs: rotated automatically on a short cycle.
- Payment audit records: up to 30 days after the transaction settles (longer where compliance requires it).
- Shared clips: up to 90 days, then deleted with their preview.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Write to support@internetvoid.com from the address associated with your account (or include enough detail for us to identify your browser identifier). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
7. Children
The Service is restricted to persons 18 years or older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
